About Us

My love for animals started at a very young age. At four years of age, living in McLean, Virginia, I had an enclosure with a pond for turtles in my back yard, two ducks named Donald and Daisy and a beagle named Missy. I was fascinated with all aspects of animal life. When I was seven, we moved to Ontario, Canada. My favourite pastime was to visit the streams of my home town of Almonte, Ontario where I would spend hours overturning rocks and brushing through weeds and grasses in pursuit of any interesting wildlife I could find.

At twelve years of age I learned to ride horses. I got my first job on a farm, working with horses. I was enthralled with these animals and could proudly name every part of the equine musculoskeletal system. My bedroom walls were covered with posters of horses.

My interests in various animals have also included hermit crabs, my beloved cats, Pretty Boy and Spaz, mice, rats, scorpions, geckos, chameleons, snakes, uromastyx and of course, bearded dragons.

I have been keeping and breeding a variety of reptiles since 1997. My hobby started with a Leopard Gecko for my son, Aidan. My passion for reptiles has now grown to include a collection of leopard geckos, pictus geckos, veiled chameleons, mali uromastyx, pinesnakes and bearded dragons.

When I first met Tim at the Reptile Expo, I couldn’t have been more impressed with the beautiful colours of bearded dragon morphs he was offering for sale. I was very happy with the dragons I had purchased from him. So, when I heard that Tim was unable to continue with his business, and was looking for someone to purchase the collection, I set to work to take advantage of this awesome opportunity. It is so exciting to be able to continue Capital Dragons history of providing Canadians with the healthiest and most extreme bearded dragon colour morphs in North America.
